The crew at Local Grind have created a rustic venue nestled in the new Watson Apartments in Walkerville, a stones throw from the green Liner Park walking trail.
Owner and chef Adam Rocco has curated the venue’s menu driven by the passion of using the best quality ingredients, created by people who share the same love and care for food as he does. “More often than not, the chef takes all credit for the food, but great food is only achievable because of the amazing job done by farmers and producers in the back ground,” Adam says. Having spent several years working under some of Melbourne's best chefs at venues like GG’s, Bottega and Mister Bianco to name a few, he felt it was time to get back into Adelaide and put some hard yards into his own venture.
The use of the freshest fruit and vegetables, carefully selected seafood and pristine butchery goods are paramount at local grind. Vegans, vegetarians & coeliacs, will also be very well looked after with a wide amount of options.
The passion from the kitchen is matched out the front once you read the every changing wine list, with beverages chosen from the many local wineries, breweries and distilleries that we have at our doorstep.
As for the coffee, a house blend roasted by Axil Coffee Roasters along with an ever changing selection of single origins, sourced fairly from around the globe will have your tastebuds wanting more!
